Exhibition launch of my body of work entitled “Bua an Cultuir/The Victory of Culture”

Exhibition Launch, Wednesday August 2, 6pm

Feile Launch, Thursday August 3, 6pm

This exhibition is comprised of sculptures based upon Irish Mythological stories from a variety of ancient and medieval texts.  The majority of works in this exhibition are recent and carved from turf, with other works of sculpture and bas relief presented in bronze. Each sculpture was conceived and carved to be cast for full size public monuments in bronze in locations in Ireland which are relevant to the story of each sculpture.  The artist is thrilled to be debuting these works in Feile an Phobail and hopes that this exhibition represents a modern and positive addition to the public expression and reclamation of our culture and language.
