NI Chamber & SONI, Northern Ireland’s Electricity Transmission System Operator, would like to invite you to the next Energy Forum event on Tuesday 11 October from 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
This event will see the launch of the ‘Energising Belfast’ Project which is being developed by SONI, NIE Networks and funded by the Utility Regulator. The project represents £39.5m investment in the transmission grid in the Belfast Metropolitan area and will create a high-capacity underground electricity connection through Belfast.
Keynote speakers as part of the launch include:
- Mike Brennan, Permanent Secretary, Department for the Economy
- Dr Theresa Donaldson, Chair and Alan Campbell, Managing Director at SONI
- Tanya Hedley, Director of Networks at the Utility Regulator.
The event will also feature a panel discussion – “Northern Ireland’s Energy Strategy – where we are now and where do we need to get to?‘ Panel participants include Alan Campbell, Managing Director at SONI; Tanya Hedley, Director of Networks at the Utility Regulator; Patrick Anderson, Group Chief Financial Officer at Translink and John Palmer, Partner at Shoosmiths.
