Introduction
The Power Platform is a suite of Microsoft tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents) designed to empower individuals and organisations to analyse data, build custom applications, automate workflows, and create intelligent chatbots without extensive coding expertise.
Please note, Power BI is not covered on this course. We offer a separate 2-day Introduction to Power BI Desktop course.
Course Objectives
This 1 Day course covers the essential skills needed to begin using the Power Platform suite of Microsoft tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents). Please note, Power BI is not covered on this course.
The course will teach you how to use Power Automate to automate workflows and tasks, enabling users to create automated workflows through a visual interface, connecting various systems and triggering actions based on pre-defined conditions. You will also learn how to use Power Apps to connect to various data sources to build custom business applications without extensive coding knowledge, as well as Power Virtual Agents to build a chatbot that can be using internally, to automate internal processes and assist with common enquiries and externally, deployed on websites, social media platforms, message apps, answer frequently asked questions and provide personalised support.
Audience
This course is for beginners and will focus on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents within the Power Platform suite of Microsoft tools.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel would be advantageous.

- Power Automate (Online): This should be free as part of the 365 license.
- Power Virtual Agents (called Microsoft Copilot studio within Microsoft Teams as an App): This should be free as part of the 365 license.
- Power Apps (Online): This should be free as part of the 365 license.
