The Business Support and Innovation Team had an amazing day at Newry Chambers International Women’s Day Lunch in the stunning surroundings of Killeavy Castle.

Southern Regional College was a proud co-sponsor with Fisher & Fisher Law for this event and it was inspiring to listen to all the incredible speakers who spoke so honestly about their individual journeys.

The day kicked off with networking and canapes in the castle then we moved to the function room to listen to an insightful and inspirational address from Julie Gibbons (Newry Chamber President).

After this we heard from two local & amazing keynote speakers:

• Dame Siobhan Keegan, Lady Chief Justice of NI

• Lianne McCooey, McCooeys Newry

We then listened to a motivational and enlightening panel discussion from three local women with businesses in the local area.

• Jacqueline Malone, Fisher & Fisher Law

• Caroline Willis, Shelbourne Motors

• Naoimh McConville, MJM Marine

Deborah Loughran from King Communications did an excellent job of comparing the event and the day ended with a charity raffle, raising £2,390 for two worthy local charities Women’s Aid Armagh Down and Cancer Fund for Children.
