Event Description
Since 2019, through the Age at Work programme in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, Business in the Community and partner organisations Age NI, Scotland and Cyrmu have been helping businesses to look beyond age and see the opportunity that lies within supporting people over 50 to remain in or return to work.
The programme partners have also been working to support unemployed people over 50 who are farthest away from the labour market and facing barriers to returning to work through our digital skills workshops and work experience programmes.
About this event
You are invited to join us at Belfast Harbour Commissioners, 9:00 am -11:30 am on 13 March 2024 for an event all about age inclusion!
We’re bringing HR, D&I, DEI and Operations professionals together for a morning event and roundtable discussion with the aim of making new connections and to discuss the challenges and opportunities brought by an ageing workforce.
You’ll hear from our keynote speaker, Clare Kemsley, Managing Director of UK & Ireland for Marketing at Hays, who will delve into more detail on the findings and trends from the recently released ‘What Workers Want 2023: Older Workers’ report.
We’ll inspire you through best practice case studies, learnings and impacts from the Age at Work programme across the three nations; you’ll leave having made new connections; and we’ll provide you with helpful support and guidance on what your organisation can do to make sure this essential demographic of workers is supported to remain in and return to work.
As a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, this event is open to both members and non-members of Business in the Community, and is free to attend.
