People 1st is excited to announce the promotion of three key leaders to Director roles: Gráinne McBride, Aidan Kelly, and Eamonn Moore.

Their appointments come at a pivotal time as the company transitions to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), a move designed to ensure long-term growth and employee engagement. The new Directors will join existing Directors Ronan Heenan and Brenda Kernaghan, forming a unified team ready to lead People 1st into the future.

Gráinne McBride: A Champion of Quality and Business Expansion
Since joining People 1st in 2010, Gráinne McBride has made a lasting impact on the organisation. As Quality and Contracts Manager since 2015, she has led the company’s efforts in securing major contracts and expanding its reach across Northern Ireland. With more than 23 years of experience in the training sector, Gráinne’s leadership has been instrumental in driving business growth and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Aidan Kelly: Strategic Innovation for the Future
Aidan Kelly’s promotion to Director is a testament to his success in leading innovative projects and his strategic vision for People 1st’s future. His deep understanding of industry trends and ability to manage position him perfectly to guide the organisation’s continued evolution. Aidan’s expertise will be central as People 1st looks to expand its services and deliver cutting-edge training solutions.

Eamonn Moore: Leadership in Cross-Border Expansion
Eamonn Moore joined People 1st in 2015, helping the company expand its footprint into the Republic of Ireland. His leadership has seen People 1st earn awards such as the AONTAS Star Award and the European Regiostars Award, while also growing apprenticeship and job activation programs in Donegal and the North West. With over 39 years of senior management experience, Eamonn’s personable and results-driven leadership style makes him a vital asset to the company’s strategic direction.

A Strengthened Leadership Team During the Transition to Employee Ownership
This latest leadership expansion follows People 1st’s recent transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) over the summer. The EOT structure ensures that employees are at the heart of the company’s future while safeguarding its mission and values. As part of this transition, company founder Bernadette Daly will serve as a trustee on the EOT, providing stability to the new Directors and the wider team. Bernadette’s ongoing involvement will guide the organisation with the same values that have shaped it since its inception.

With Gráinne, Aidan, and Eamonn joining existing Directors Ronan Heenan and Brenda Kernaghan on the board, the company is well-positioned to maintain its reputation for excellence while continuing to innovate and grow. Together, the leadership team will work closely with the trustees to drive People 1st’s mission forward, ensuring that the company remains a trusted leader in training and employment across Northern Ireland and beyond.
