NI Chamber’s annual Meet the Buyer event will see more than 200 local businesses pitch their products and services to major buyers with significant procurement needs. Delivered in partnership with Bank of Ireland UK, this year’s event is set to take place in Kingfisher Country Estate, Templepatrick on Thursday 7 November.
Procurement teams from 20 organisations including MJM Marine, Ulster University, Belfast City Council, Choice Housing, Northern Ireland Water, Hyster-Yale and Translink will attend more than 300 meetings in a single morning, all aiming to identify new, local sourcing opportunities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Christopher Morrow, Director of Membership & Services Development at NI Chamber said:
“NI Chamber’s Annual Meet the Buyer event has a really high success rate, with a track record of connecting local suppliers with new customers in a way which delivers mutually beneficial results.
“As organisations increasingly seek to shorten their supply chains and benefit from the quality, reliability and sustainability benefits of local sourcing, our facilitated matching process ensures we are connecting buyers with suppliers who are the best possible fit.”
Tanya Anderson, Head of Deposits NI, Bank of Ireland UK added:
“Bank of Ireland are delighted to partner with the NI Chamber to deliver this year’s Meet the Buyer series which aligns with our goal to be a valued partner to business, not just with funding support, but in the ways we can connect them with wider opportunities.
“In bringing together businesses of all sizes and sectors we demonstrate the breadth of local business talent and innovation that exists and which is ready to provide local solutions to procurement needs.
“We have seen lots of success from previous Meet the Buyer events, from new business partnerships through to new orders and I look forward to seeing further success following this year’s event.”
As well as buyer meetings, attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a series of breakout zones, where expert panellists will offer top tips for tendering, branding and procurement for SMEs. NI Chamber members are invited to register to join these networking sessions.
Meet the Buyer with Bank of Ireland UK is delivered as part of NI Chamber’s Learn Grow Excel programme, which is also supported by its SME Partner, Power NI.
