With four modules delivered in concise technical sessions, the Foundation Award in International Trade breaks fundamental technical topics into easy to understand components. It has been specifically designed to meet the needs of NI companies, equipping attendees with a solid base of technical knowledge required to move goods to and from Northern Ireland.
Delivered online and with optional assessments at the end of each module, by completing it now, you will have obtained the qualification and be able to put learning into practice before the end of 2022.

People working in logistics, procurement & export functions, as well as financial accounts and sales, operations & general managers in any company involved in international trade. This series is ideal for individuals who are new to their role or for those seeking to refresh and build on previous training, to ensure they are up-to-date with all current procedures.

What does it cover?

Consider the impact of the latest UK Customs Procedures and understand the duties and taxes currently payable on entry of goods into the UK. - Import Procedures Including Special Procedures
Wed 30 November 2022, 09.30 – 15.30
Obtain practical guidance on the latest procedures, terminology and documentation required for importing successfully. - Letters of Credit and Methods of Payments
Thurs 8 December 2022, 09.30 – 15.30
Examine the Letter of Credit process in detail and get guidance on how to create a workable credit.
Course cost:
NI Chamber members: £800 + VAT
Non-members: £1,000 + VAT
Participants can also choose to complete individual modules, at a cost of £250 + VAT per module (members) and £300 + VAT per module (non-members).
