Join NI Chamber and AIB on Thursday 13 October for an event focused on the importance of stakeholder engagement in shaping sustainability strategies and focus resources.
Michael Heron, Sustainability Lead at Gilbert-Ash, will share how the company has developed successful relationships with key stakeholders by understanding their expectations and what they value in terms of sustainability. Michael will also outline the positive impact these interactions have had on the business and how they have informed strategy.
Susannah Cooke, Senior Consultant within KPMG Sustainable Futures, will outline what steps businesses can take to engage with internal and external stakeholders as well as how to work with suppliers on tracking emissions. She will also discuss the importance of integrating the local community within your sustainability strategy.
Attendees will learn:
- How the perspective of different stakeholders should feed into sustainability planning
- Best practice for dealing with stakeholders from securing project investment from internal stakeholders to working with suppliers to monitor supplier emissions
- The importance of engaging the local community in developing sustainability practices
