Help to Grow: Management Course

On behalf of the Small Business Charter, Ulster University Business School and William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, Queen’s Management School, I would like to invite you to the launch of the Help to Grow: Management Course in Northern Ireland on Thursday 23 June 2022.

The economy needs a flourishing small business community to drive growth, create jobs and stimulate innovation. Help To Grow: Management, a 12-week leadership course 90% funded by the government, provides a unique opportunity to help boost growth and productivity in Northern Ireland. One of the most ambitious enterprise support programmes the UK has undertaken, it aims to help some 30,000 small firms through a nationwide network of world class business schools, accredited by the Small Business Charter. We are delighted to announce that both Ulster University Business School and Queen’s Management School will be delivering the programme in Northern Ireland.

At this event, we will explain what the Help to Grow: Management Course can offer small business leaders in your communities, how it is delivered and how you can get involved in increasing awareness and engagement in the programme in Northern Ireland. We will also share examples of the compelling feedback we have received from the entrepreneurs in England, Scotland and Wales already experiencing the benefits for their businesses. You can read some of their stories in our first report: Grow Your Own Way,  released this week.

Speakers will include the Executive Dean of Ulster University Business School Professor Mark Durkin, Professor M. N. Ravishankar Head of School, Queen’s Management School and Niall Casey, Director, Skills and Competitiveness Division, Invest Northern Ireland.
