The Small Awards 2024: Celebrating the Pioneering Spirit of UK’s Small Businesses

 

Small Business Britain, the leading champion for the UK’s small business sector, have announced the finalists for the 2024 Small Awards. Established in 2017, the awards are dedicated to recognise the achievements and contributions of small businesses across the UK.

This year, among the standout finalists, there are three local businesses; EVOLVE, shortlisted for the ‘Supply Chain Champion’ best B2B business, Louise Brogan for the ‘Digital Star’ best digital only business and The Secret Bookshelf in Carrick for the ‘High Street Hero’ category.

Claire Loftus, Managing Director of local HR Consultancy, EVOLVE, shared her enthusiasm about the nomination, “We are honoured to be finalists in this year’s Small Awards. Jo and Chris from The Secret Bookshelf in Carrickfergus explained how delighted the are to be shortlisted, “our focus is on creating a terrific book experience, and on supporting our community and creative communities. To get recognition is so important in inspiring our hearts and thanking our customers”.

The Small Awards 2024 will showcase the resilience of small businesses in eleven different categories, ranging from sustainability initiatives to digital innovations and enduring family enterprises.

Michelle Ovens CBE, Founder of Small Business Britain and organizer of The Small Awards, commented, “The Small Awards aim to celebrate the incredible contributions of small business owners who are not only at the core of our economy but also integral to their communities. The winners of all categories, including the highly coveted Small Business of the Year award, will be announced during a gala ceremony on May 16, 2024, in London. The event promises to be a memorable night, filled with celebrations and opportunities for networking among the best and brightest of the UK’s small business sector.
