Ulster Carpets may be celebrating their 85th anniversary this year, but the luxury carpet manufacturer is looking to the future – not just of the company, but of the planet.

Following the recent launch of their first official Sustainability Strategy, the global company have now made a move to build on this with the appointment of a Sustainability & Product Engineer.

“This is a brand new role and one that we believe is unique to our industry,” explained Beverley Copeland, Director of Organisation Development at Ulster Carpets. “We already have a strong sustainability team in place and after successfully focusing on our environmental impact, we now need someone to take the lead on textile sustainability.

“We’re looking for someone with a curious mindset and a fascination for problem solving and delivering solutions. They will have to explore the challenges of textiles to landfill and have a passion to make a difference in the world.”

Ulster Carpets are respected across the world as textile pioneers and this new appointment continues a successful history of innovation. Manufacturing luxury carpets for the hospitality industry across the world, Ulster Carpets work closely with the world’s leading hotels, casinos and cruise ships.

“We feel we are already in a strong position within our industry but it is clear there are still major challenges to overcome. We have proved that we’re capable of leading the flooring industry from the front.

The reward will be collaborating with some of the best sustainability minds in global hospitality, cruise and casino brands on their sustainability journeys.
