Educational and promotional videos made by Re-Gen in Newry and featuring its recycling processes, apprentices, students and mobile plant have been viewed 3 million times.
Re-Gen introduced its first TikTok in August 2022 and has found that the platform complements activity on other social media.
It is targeting a younger demographic to increase the importance of recycling, and raise awareness of the Re-Gen Group apprentice opportunities in South Down and South Armagh.
It is estimated that half of UK children aged between 3-17 years use TikTok.
The company was shortlisted for ‘Best TikTok in Business’ at the recent Northern Ireland Social Media Awards.
Owen Quinn (IT Apprentice), Eadaoin McVerry (Trainee Business Development Executive), Karyn Feehan (Digital Marketing, Advertising and Communications Apprentice) and guest Conor Rooney represented the company at the awards.
