Re-Gen’s Seamus McEvoy lifts Transport Manager Award

Seamus McEvoy from Re-Gen was named ‘Transport Manager of the Year’ at this year’s Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards.

According to the awards judging panel, in what was a keenly contested category, Seamus demonstrated the highest levels of up-to-date knowledge, professionalism and ability in managing all aspects of a modern transport undertaking.

Seamus joined Re-Gen in 2012 where his regular tasks involve identifying the maintenance planning requirements, ensuring health & safety risk assessments have been met, and ensuring all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained to the highest standards. He has more than 30 years’ experience in transport management.

Based in Newry in County Down, Re-Gen began its journey in 2004 as an integrated recycling and waste management company, and has processed over 1.5 million tonnes of waste, developing one of Europe’s most advanced materials recovery facilities and today runs and manages its own modern low emissions transport fleet, which includes skeletals, curtainsiders, chipliners, flatbeds and steel bulkers. As well as the processing of mixed dry recycling,
it also processes residual waste for conversion to refuse derived fuel in its Waste To Energy division.
