Unreasonable Impact Small Business Initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs focused on solving pressing social and environmental challenges within their local communities. We are working with small businesses dedicated to delivering innovative solutions across healthcare, education, renewable energy, sustainable transport and the future of food — who are creating new jobs as they grow. Through the programme, each entrepreneur will be given access to three months of exclusive virtual support – including masterclasses, peer-to-peer coaching, and a virtual demo day to open up new networks and strategic connections.
This pilot programme has been launched as an extension of our broader Unreasonable Impact partnership, which was co-created by Barclays and the Unreasonable Group in 2016. While Unreasonable Impact is focused on scaling up growth-stage companies across the globe, the COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced the importance of also driving local impact and job creation within regional small business communities. In our 2021 pilot programme, we will support a select group of up to 30 small businesses from the North of England, North Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland who are solving social and environmental challenges in the region. This virtual programme will run weekly, for 3 hours each week, from 13 July to 21 September, 2021. All participation costs will be funded by Barclays.
If you’re an entrepreneur who is looking to take your business and impact to the next level and you’re based in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, North Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland then please apply by 6 June, 2021.
